Since the establishment of Sigurd Sørum AS in 1927, the company has focused on delivery of quality products and the customer support that is expectable. Through the years we have accumulated a broad product range and a varied clientelle.
The engineering company of Sigurd Sørum AS was founded in 1927 in Oslo, Norway, starting out as a construction site for transportation facilities. Subsequently, the business was expanded by adding a commercial department for import and sales of heat engineering products and fire protection materials.
In 1938 the company moved to Wessels gate in Oslo, and by then the commercial departments had become more important. The increased number of deliveries to the process industry consequently lead to the establishment of both an instrumentation department and an engineering workshop for service and repairs. In 1961 the company moved to its own office premises in Sandvika, south-west of Oslo, where we still conduct our business.
Our logo is a short version og Sigurd Sørum AS, and is also identical to our previous trade name - SIGUM. Today SIGUM is a substantial supplier of well known products to the Norwegian waterworks/ sewage plan, industrial and offshore markets.
We currently have 25 highly skilled employees on our staff, some of which have more than 40 years of work experience. All of them are ready to provide our clients the optimal solutions for any application.
Our broad range of products allows us to offer solutions to meet the majority of requirements of the instrumentation, valve, steam and condensate markets.
Quality is a matter of course
Sigurd Sørum AS has established and continuously maintains, a Quality Management System (QMS). We fully apply our Health, Security, and Environment (HSE) responsibility as a supplier. Our system is certified according to NS-EN ISO 9001:2008
